Updated Cover Art: 'Charon's Crossing'

It's a much-better fit given the tone of the story. It did start out a pretty serious plot, but with all the brainstorming came a bunch of ideas from out of left field, and they made more sense to me -- plus the Grotesqueries collection is in dire need of cheekier and more upbeat stories. This is also just the first of several other comedies I hope to write for a more balanced collection of gothic novellas.

There's going to be a lot of dark humor in it just like in Desmond and Garrick as well as Ghosts and Tea, and I'm pretty excited about it. Retail gothic will still be the main theme but with a lighthearted twist. With any luck, I'll be able to chip away at this book while working on Ada and the Singing Skull.

My name's still pretty light on the cover, and I might tweak it some more, but I kind of like it almost disappearing in the background or being something more like a whisper. Somehow that works with the story, but in terms of marketing the book, it's not as effective. So I may be posting an updated version of this eventually.

EDIT: I updated the updated cover with a slightly more enhanced name (or enhanced enough in my opinion) and a bit of a tweak of a detail.
