It's a much-better fit given the tone of the story. It did start out a pretty serious plot, but with all the brainstorming came a bunch of ideas from out of left field, and they made more sense to me -- plus the Grotesqueries collection is in dire need of cheekier and more upbeat stories. This is also just the first of several other comedies I hope to write for a more balanced collection of gothic novellas.

My name's still pretty light on the cover, and I might tweak it some more, but I kind of like it almost disappearing in the background or being something more like a whisper. Somehow that works with the story, but in terms of marketing the book, it's not as effective. So I may be posting an updated version of this eventually.
EDIT: I updated the updated cover with a slightly more enhanced name (or enhanced enough in my opinion) and a bit of a tweak of a detail.
